[It's just like Felix to have no idea what other people think of his looks, even after those black market agents must have told him a thousand times. It's funny, really. Usually, his opinion on Felix's looks is something he would keep to himself. Not only has their friendship faded to only an echo of what it used to be, Felix surely doesn't want to hear that sort of thing in a place like this.
Unfortunately, Dimitri's not exactly thinking things through at the moment. He doesn't hesitate to just say it.]
You're beautiful, [he breathes, nudging his face into the crook of Felix's neck, his lips just barely brushing against his skin. Even after all these years, there's something comforting about Felix's scent...
[Felix has every right to find it appalling. Disgusting as the beast that Dimitri has proven himself to be.
Instead, warmth courses through his system, and Dimitri might as well have yanked his tail for all those two words are making him feel. He tenses against Dimitri burrowing himself into what little warmth he's radiating, the contact an unfair tease. But he does not pull away, simply sighing as he furrows his brows and helplessly remains rooted where he is.]
You're lying.
[Yet he doesn't sound convinced when he says it, shutting his eyes as if the act would carry him back to sleep and convince him that everything right now is simply a dream.]
[Dimitri just hums in response, pressing in even closer, each exhale tickling at Felix's throat. Yet despite his obvious arousal, it's just as clear that he truly is asleep again. There's next to no tension in his body, and his breathing is slow and even. If Felix attempts to squirm away from him, Dimitri won't fight it. Unless he purposefully tries to wake him, Dimitri will be out for the rest of the night.]
[Felix stiffens underneath Dimitri as he waits for a response and the latter draws close, but when Dimitri does nothing more but fall asleep, he just sighs. Unsure if he wants to risk another round of waking Dimitri up and being fondled, he just stays where he is and closes his eyes, hoping sleep eventually comes for him despite his own mounting arousal.
[Once the drugs wear off he's had his fill on sleep a few hours later, Dimitri's memory of Felix crawling into bed with him again is foggy. He definitely remembers that he joined him, so he's not surprised when he wakes up and Felix is tucked up against his body. What does surprise him is how close they are, not to mention that Dimitri apparently decided to bury his face in the curve of Felix's neck. He tries to pull back carefully, but with how tangled up they are, there's no real hope of getting up without waking Felix.]
[Felix's sleep is light, made several more times difficult by his body's damnable reactions towards his proximity with Dimitri. He absolutely refuses to touch himself while in bed with Dimitri, so he simply endures it, trying not to come in contact with Dimitri much more than he already has.
His subconscious too alert with regard to the matter, he easily takes notice of the way Dimitri tries to pull away. His eyes fly open blearily, the beginnings of a frown on his face as he mumbles:]
[Felix isn't the only one that struggled with his body's reactions during the night. Dimitri had really hoped to be safely in the bathroom before Felix opened his eyes, but Felix is awake and complaining already.
With a huff and no trace of shame over the things he said and did the night before, he looks over his shoulder at Felix.]
It is my bed. I will lie in it or get up as I please.
So that gives you the right to do everything you did last night.
[There's a challenge in Felix's tone as he stares Dimitri down, never mind that he brought this upon himself by straying into Dimitri's room last night and actually resigned himself to this turn of events.]
[There's a flicker of confusion in Dimitri's eyes as he meets Felix's. The right to do what, hold him like he's eight years old again? Felix seems to need it right now, and after the events of yesterday driving home how utterly helpless he is here, Dimitri wasn't going to mock him for needing the comfort.
Damn if Felix doesn't make it difficult to be kind to him...]
Why plaster yourself to my side if you are so troubled about it in the morning? I will not continue to indulge you if you keep snapping at me about it.
[Fury lights Felix's eyes, prompting him to rise and sit, glaring daggers at Dimitri.]
Preposterous. Don't you dare blame me for your own indulgence.
[Because no way is Felix tempting by his own. No matter how many people whisper such, it's impossible. They're only doing that to mock him for being reduced to this, after all.
And with that, Felix prepares to storm off, ready to sulk for a few hours in his room and hopefully get some rest that he could not by Dimitri's side.]
[Though he lets Felix rise up a bit, Dimitri doesn't let him just run away. Who does he think he's fooling?! His hand darts out to grab one of Felix's wrists, a frown creasing his forehead.]
I gave you your own room. If you come back in here and curl up in my bed, exactly how am I the one that's indulging?
[Even if the purring is admittedly nice and he feels like he probably sleeps better for having Felix around.]
[A tsk escapes Felix, though he tries to wrest his wrist out of Dimitri's grip, it's not like he stands a chance against Dimitri's strength in this particular regard lest he wishes to risk a broken bone or two.]
Don't you dare play coy with me. You know what you did last night.
[So he answers the question, venomous as his tone is.]
[This time, that confusion takes hold properly. Dimitri continues to maintain eye contact for a few moments more before letting go and folding his arms across his chest.]
Did you have a strange dream?
[Amoi does seem to give birth to some particularly vivid dreams...]
[Felix's eyes widen briefly before he goes back to furrowing his brows at Dimitri, a little unsure what to make of the genuine confusion plastered across Dimitri's face. It's too much for someone simply trying to escape his responsibility in this situation, and Dimitri has never been the best liar.]
You should ask yourself that question.
[Which could only mean one thing, but Goddess forbid that be Dimitri's actual excuse.]
There was nothing out of the ordinary. It was the sort of dream one expects to have in a wretched city like this.
[The answer is out of his mouth before he stops to think why Felix would say that in the first place. His eyes widen slightly when it hits him — Dimitri must have been acting out his dream, at least a little bit.]
...well, whatever it was, I do not recall it. You would be better off joining me from the start if that is your preference rather than sneaking in here after I have fallen asleep.
[That more or less confirms it, though it does not answer how much of Dimitri's words reflect his own true feelings on the matter.
And Dimitri seems to realize this, though does a terrible job of covering it up. Felix folds his arms, considering if he should push regarding this matter.]
What difference does it make?
[Well, he can go back to the other matter later. Or perhaps just observe his way through everything.]
[Dimitri can't help it. His gaze drops briefly when Felix rightfully accuses him of being interested, setting on the hem of those stockings before snapping back up to his face. It feels like his cheeks are getting hot...]
It would make a difference because I would know to account for you before falling asleep. I... seem to sleep more deeply, here.
[Dimitri's mouth falls open as if he's about to speak only to clamp shut again. His face is absolutely burning now, and for just a few moments, he looks like the boy he was five years ago.
Then the color fades, and Dimitri folds his arms.]
A difficult question to answer without knowing what I said.
[Considering what Felix is wearing, though, he can guess.]
...you are easy on the eyes. I have always thought so.
[The change in Dimitri's expression startles Felix, and for a moment his glare drops in favor of surprise. Much as he wants to grasp at his earlier anger, Dimitri's honesty hits him like a blow out of nowhere, unbelievable despite their grudging sincerity.
His wide-eyed disbelief continues to paint his expression as he stares at Dimitri, as if daring him to take back those words. But when all Dimitri does is huff his way to the closet, Felix takes the opportunity to finally take his strategic retreat, wondering if he should even deign that answer with a response.]

Pathetic.
[Are all elites truly nothing but sex-crazed fiends, with Dimitri not exempted at all from this phenomenon?]
Why can't you just admit that you want to use me like every other person on this damn planet seems to?
[It wouldn't even be a violation of anything, considering who owns him right now.]
no subject
I would never "use" you or anyone else in that way, regardless of any attraction there may be.
